Foreign medical students who have missed the internship are allowed to complete the remaining part in India.
The Commission has also issued guidelines for procedures in this regard. The commission is considering applications from students who have completed their medical studies abroad but have not been able to complete a compulsory internship.
Order of the National Medical Commission allowing medical students who missed internships in Ukraine and China due to war and Covid to complete the remainder in India.
These students must have passed the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) conducted by the National Board of Examinations before applying for an internship in India. The order also said that the concerned state medical councils could take further action on the application of students to complete the internship with this provision.
