Hyderabad: Four days after the fire and violence at the Secunderabad railway station, video footage has emerged of a man setting fire to a train. Prithviraj, one of the accused in the Secunderabad railway station violence case, has been arrested by the police. The video shows Prithviraj setting fire to the coach.
On June 17, several people from across the state of Telangana protested against the central government's Agneepath project at the Secunderabad railway station in Hyderabad. The protest led to a police force to charge. The students threw stones to them.
As a result of the conflict, the police fired and died Rakesh from Warangal district of the protest. More than 15 students were injured in the clashes in Hyderabad, many of them reportedly overcoming danger.
The Railway Police in Hyderabad (Secunderabad) has registered a case against the students under sections 307 (attempted murder), 147 (riot) and various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Indian Railways Act (Secunderabad). Subba Rao, a native of Andhra Pradesh, has been identified as one of the main culprits behind the violence.
On June 20, Madhusudan, 20, of Yellareddy in Kamareddy district, was identified by the authorities as one of the main accused in the case.
The main concern of the protesters in Hyderabad is related to the fact that military service is only for four years (limited employment). In addition, compulsory retirement for most without gratuity and pension benefits.
The students demanded that military recruitment be carried out as usual and that the fire path be recaptured.
