Chandigarh University students create world record for largest human image of waving flag.On August 15, the country will celebrate its 75th Independence Day. People and organisations of all kinds have already begun to mark the occasion in unique ways. While some people observe the day by raising the Tricolor in their homes, others do it in a more grand manner. The greatest human representation of a waving flag was created by volunteers from the NID foundation and Chandigarh University students. They even succeeded in setting a record for that.
In support of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign run by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the banner of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Chandigarh University students collaborated with the NID Foundation to set a world record for the largest human representation of a waving flag.The feat was achieved at the cricket stadium in Chandigarh sector 16.
Meenakshi Lekhi, the Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, posted photos of the joyful occasion on Twitter in the meantime. "An Indian moment of pride. We are thrilled to announce that India has set a new Guinness World Record for creating the largest human representation of a waving flag in Chandigarh's Cricket Stadium, in the presence of Hon. Governor Sh. Banwarilal Purohit Ji "Lekhi remarked as she shared the article.
"I'm glad to be a part of these historic events, which have given the #HarGharTiranga movement a boost. Today's group effort by the students at @Chandigarh uni was excellent. Chandigarh University's official Instagram account also posted images of the setup before to the major event. "The historic day of our endeavour to break the Guinness World Records began with CU athletes carrying the Tiranga in a flag walk. Here are the settings!" reads the post's caption.
Independence Day will be celebrated on August 15 across the country.
