An expanded golden visa scheme, a new five-year green residency multiple-entry tourist visa and job-hunting entry permits will all come into effect in the UAE next month. The new changes will greatly benefit expatriates and visitors living and working in the UAE. These changes will make the UAE a more investment-friendly country.
All of these new adjustments to the admission and residence restrictions will take effect 90 days after the date of publication in the Official Gazette, according to a UAE Cabinet resolution made public in mid-April.

Multi-entry tourist visa
The new, five-year tourist visa with multiple entries doesn't need a sponsor. The UAE allows visitors with this visa to stay for up to 90 days. Another 90 days can be added to this visa's validity. A multi-entry tourist visa entitles the holder to a stay in the UAE for a maximum of 180 days. Prior to requesting a visa, the applicant must have a bank balance of USD 4,000 (Dh 14,700) or its equivalent in foreign currencies.
Business Visa:
Investors and entrepreneurs can apply for this visa. No sponsor or host required.
Visa to visit relatives/friends:
Those who are relatives or friends of any citizen or resident of the country can apply for this visa. No sponsor or host is required to obtain this visa.
Temporary Work Visa:
Applicants for this visa must be coming for just temporary employment, such as a project-based job or a probationary period. A temporary employment contract, a letter from the company, and evidence of fitness must be submitted by candidates.
Study/Training Visa:
This visa is for people who want to take part in different study courses, training sessions, and training programmes. Public and private educational and research institutions may sponsor this visa.
Family Visa:
Only minors under the age of 18 can currently be sponsored by parents. However, sons up to the age of 25 can be sponsored once the new laws take effect. The special permit is also given to children with disabilities. Unmarried girls are eligible for sponsorship for an extended amount of time under the new visa regulations.
Job Visa:
A sponsor or host is not necessary for a work visa. Also eligible for this visa are graduates from one of the top 500 colleges in the world, graduates with an equivalent degree, and individuals who rank first, second, or third on the Center for Human Resources and Emiratization's Skill Ability List.
Green Visa:
A five-year green visa that allows you to bring your family without a sponsor or employer's certificate. Skilled workers, self-employed, freelancers etc are eligible for this visa. Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification and a minimum salary of AED 15,000.
Golden Visas:
The UAE Golden Visa has been announced for many professionals and investors who want to enjoy the best quality of life in the country for a long time. Golden visas are available for different categories such as real estate, start-up, scientists, exceptional talent, skilled workers and students.
Those who fall under the following categories can apply for a suitable Golden Visa.
Real estate:
To be eligible for the visa, you must invest a minimum of AED 2 million in real estate. If an investor makes a total investment of AED 2 million or more in real estate, including mortgaged and off-plan properties, they may be eligible for a visa.
Startups:
There are now three routes for entrepreneurs to obtain a Golden Visa. (2) if the start-up is SMI and (1) if the start-up is registered in (3) The revenue must be at least AED 1 million per year.
Scientists:
On the advice of the Emirates Science Council, those holding a PhD or Master's degree in life science, natural science, technology, or engineering—or who have shown expertise in their line of work—may apply for a Golden Visa.
Exceptional talent:
Applicants for the Golden Visa must have proven exceptional talent in the disciplines of art, culture, digital technology, sports, inventions, health, and law. They need approval or a letter of reference from the appropriate government body.
Skilled workers
The applicant must hold a valid work contract and a bachelor's degree. Must fall within the range of occupations that the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization has established. must earn a minimum of 30,000 dirhams per month.
Students:
The Golden Visa is available to exceptionally talented students who have excelled in secondary schools and universities in the United Arab Emirates or who attend one of the top 100 universities in the world.
