Today is India's 76th Independence Day" Happy Independence Day to all Indians.

The whole country is celebrating together Independence Day every home, As part of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' (Flag in every home) campaign, there is a huge demand for the national flag in the country. Every house had a Indian national flag this year. This is another year when the people paid great respect to the national flag.

Salute to all the men and women who sacrificed for us to live in a free India. The President wished all Indians living in India and abroad Happy Independence Day. In his first Independence Day message, President Draupadi Murmu said that he pays tribute to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country and remembers the fighters who fought for India's freedom.


As India celebrates its 76th Independence Day (Independence Day 2022), Prime Minister Narendra Modi wished everyone a Happy Independence Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort today at around 7.30 am. Then Air Force helicopters showered flowers on the Red Fort.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi used paper notes for his Independence Day speech. Modi usually uses a teleprompter for his speeches. However, when he addressed the nation at the Red Fort today, he used paper notes. Modi delivered an 82-minute long speech today.

On India's 76th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the national flag at the Red Fort and then addressed the nation for the ninth consecutive time. The Prime Minister said that the celebration of India's Independence Day is not confined to the country but is being witnessed all over the world. Prime Minister Modi recalled the role of great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, BR Ambedkar and Vir Savarkar in India's freedom struggle and also paid tribute to women fighters who contributed immensely to the country's freedom struggle.

Women Power: "Every Indian is filled with pride when he remembers the power of women in India - Rani Lakshmibai, Jhalkari Bai, Chennamma and Begum Hazrat Mahal," the Prime Minister said.
Appreciation for active participation of people in Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: “There have been many demonstrations of freedom struggles. During this Amrit Mahotsava, the whole country actively participated in this huge grand festival, which is happening for the first time across the country.
About the tricolor: "The tricolor has been waving everywhere for the past three days to show the strength of people and make others think. We can feel this revival when we salute the covid fighters. We have completed 200 crore doses of vaccine".
-'Tri-Shakti': "India has shown the world three things - political stability, policy formulation and speedy implementation of policies" - said the Prime Minister.

India's 76th Independence Day will be celebrated on Monday, August 15, 2022 at 10.00 am at the Embassy of India. Indian community members and friends and friends of India are cordially invited to participate in the flag hoisting ceremony. Event to be telecast live: Embassy of India, Dublin informed.
