Dublin: Hail and thunderstorms on the Atlantic coast will change significantly this evening as rain and strong winds batter Ireland for the rest of the week, the weatherman has confirmed.

The weather is turning sour, putting Ireland on edge. Unexpected low pressure, cyclone and heavy rain scare the country. Met Air warns that a rare weather change is happening in the country. The low pressure dominating the country and the heavy rains and strong winds it causes are alarming.

The Met explained that the low pressure expected to form this week will disturb Ireland's weather and atmosphere, with widespread rain and wind expected. Heavy rain is also likely at some places. Widespread rain and sunshine are expected on Tuesday.

But with thick rain cloud coming from southwest, rain will gradually spread towards northeast. The maximum temperature will be 10 to 13 degrees Celsius. The rain will continue during the night. The rain will be heavy in some places. Southwesterly winds will also be strong on the Atlantic coasts. The maximum temperature will be between four and seven degrees Celsius.

Rain will move north on Wednesday morning. The Met Office said no significant change in weather is expected on Friday and the weekend.

Westerly winds are likely to prevail along with rain over northern parts of the country. Highs will range from 7.00 to 11.00 degrees Celsius. Nights will be dry but cold. Night temperatures will range from zero to three degrees Celsius. Widespread rain will continue on Thursday. Rain may be heavy at some places. Maximum temperature will range from 7.00 to 11.00 degrees Celsius.

Met Eireann's forecast confirms the same dire weather change this week, with other counties bearing the brunt of the worst conditions early, but the rest of the country feeling the effects hours later.
