Chennai: A rift in the NDA alliance in Tamil Nadu. The main opposition party Anna DMK has announced that there is no alliance with the BJP. When the election comes, it will be decided only after checking whether the alliance is necessary.

The tough decision came after BJP state president K. Annamalai's remarks about former Chief Minister CN Annadurai. However, party general secretary Edappadi Palanisamy has not officially commented on the matter. The friction between the two party leaders started after the Erode East by-election. Earlier, Annamalai had openly said that he did not want an alliance with Anna DMK. Subsequently, the BJP national leadership intervened and provided a temporary solution to the problems.

However, the war of words started again between the two factions after Annamalai allegedly made a defamatory statement about Annadurai during the public meeting the other day. AnnaDMK leaders like D. Jayakumar, Sellur Raju and CV Shanmukham came forward with severe criticism against Annamalai.

Sellur Raju's response was to cut off tongues that speak ill of Annadurai. D. Jayakumar said that the right to talk about Annadurai should not be lost and the party leaders should stop defaming them.

CV Shanmugam said that the party should not be touched and this is the ultimatum for Annamalai. Shanmukham quipped that Annamalai is not a walk but a gathering. However, Annamalai bluntly said that people who think that becoming ministers is for collection are reacting in this way.

Many people are jealous of BJP's growth. He is nobody's slave. He said that his was a separate party and ideology and could not be a slave because he was in an alliance.
