BJP state leadership approached JP Nadda to solve the problem in Manipur where the conflict has not eased

Imphal: The BJP state unit has written to national president JP Nadda citing the government's failure to prevent communal violence in Manipur. It also says that public anger and protests have now turned against the administration.

Under the leadership of BJP state president A. Sharada Devi, the leaders sent a letter to Nadda expressing their concern. Last day, mobs tried to attack the family residence of Chief Minister N.Biren Singh in Imphal East and the house of a BJP MLA in Imphal West.

Following this, the leaders have sent a letter to the national leadership. The Times of India reported that they have also requested to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the letter.

"People's anger and protests are now changing course. The sole responsibility for the long-standing unrest in the state is pointed solely at the government's failure to manage the situation. We know that our government is working day and night to bring the state back to normal," the letter stated.

The difficulties faced by people in their daily life have led to new developments. They asked Nadda to abrogate Article 355 and restore unified command to the Chief Minister to restore faith in the state government.
