New Delhi: With the arrival of world leaders for the G20 summit, the national capital got off to a grand start. In the morning, Prime Minister Narendra Modi came in person to receive the VVIPs at the Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan.
The summit hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attended by around 40 dignitaries including heads of G20 countries and invited countries and representatives of international organizations. The venue is Bharat Mandapam at Pragati Maidan. Based on the summit's message of "Vasudhaiva Kudumbakam", the discussion on various topics will be held in three sessions, one land, one family and one future. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over all three.
The African Union was given permanent membership in the G20. Assali Assoumani, President of the Union of Comoros and Chairperson of the African Union (AU), has taken his seat as a permanent member of the G20 Union. Jaishankar arrives and invites Azali from his seat. Following this, the G20 witnessed a historic moment when Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who holds the post of G20 President, hugged him.

Two sessions have been scheduled today in the morning and afternoon on the theme 'One Earth, One Family'. After the sessions, three quarters of an hour is set aside for bilateral discussions. President Draupadi Murmu's gala dinner for heads of state and other VVIPs is at 7 pm. Union ministers and state chief ministers will attend. A music score has also been prepared which gives importance to classical and folk music of the country. 'Mile Sur Mera Tumara' will be the last song. A joint statement by the G20 countries is likely to follow Sunday's closing meeting.
This is a time of mutual trust and cooperation. Moreover, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also called that it is time for everyone to move together. The Prime Minister also stated that there is a need to find a proper solution to various issues like the divide between North and South, distance between East and West, terrorism, cyber security, health, energy and water security. He said that the slogan 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas', which means that development should reach everyone, will shed light on us.
