Indian passport visa: UAE authorities with important warning regarding passport. The warning of the UAE National Advance Information Centre has returned that passports with only one name will not be accepted for Indian passport visa. This has been clarified again in the instructions given to the airlines.
If the name is entered only in one place under Sur Name and Given Name in the passport, the travel permit will not be granted. But if there are two names anywhere in Sur Name and Given Name then the entry will be allowed. Meanwhile, second name mentioned on any page of the passport will be accepted.
Being a single name does not hinder travel for UAE Resident Visa holders. This applies to those arriving on a visit visa. It was earlier informed that entry into the UAE will not be possible if the given name is written and nothing is entered in the place of the sur name or if the given name is not written and the given name is not added. The notice has been issued again with the aim of creating awareness in this regard.
