What to expect ?
The opportunity to be part of something special at Aer Lingus awaits when you apply for the Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Apprenticeship.
Our apprentice programme is a structured four year programme, which encompasses a mix of "on" and "off" the job training. The training is both hands-on and classroom based, and is run in conjunction with Shannon Aviation School (SAMS) and Technical University of Dublin (TUD).
It is important to note that as part of our apprentice programme, you will be expected to relocate to Shannon for approximately nine months. This is to allow you to attend Shannon Aviation School (SAMS) and embrace the classroom based training requirements of the apprentice programme.
After successfully completing the four-year programme you become a fully qualified Aircraft Engineer with Aer Lingus, and will be presented with a FETAC level 6 award.
