Lahore, Pakistan — A fire broke out at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport, leading to the temporary suspension of all flight operations, according to local reports.
The incident occurred when a Pakistan Army aircraft was landing at the airport and one of its tires caught fire. Emergency response teams, including fire engines, were swiftly deployed to the scene to bring the blaze under control. As a precautionary measure, the airport’s runway was temporarily closed, and operations were taken over by the Pakistan Army.
Videos of the incident, filmed by bystanders, have since gone viral on various social media platforms. Footage lasting approximately 32 seconds shows thick clouds of black smoke rising from the area and visibly concerned passengers discussing the unfolding situation. Some individuals near the airport reported experiencing discomfort due to the smoke.
Despite the alarming scenes, no casualties or significant damage have been reported so far. Authorities are continuing to monitor the situation, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
