19 lakh security deposit for 3BHK, rent Rs. 80 - 1 lakh: Foreigner Shocked 😲

Karnataka: "Rent for 3BHK Rs. 19 lakhs, security deposit Rs. 80 - 1 lakh.." At first glance, it seems that the discussion is about NRI's renting houses abroad. 

But it is true, a 3BHK with a security deposit of 19 lakhs and a rent of Rs. 80 - 1 lakh is shocking in India. That too in the city of Bangalore, which is next to Kerala, says a foreign national. He shared the post on June 28.

His post on "x" says, "Can I buy a Mahindra Thar in India for this cash?" Canadian citizen Caleb Friesen has expressed his shock at the excessive security deposit being demanded. Like a good but a bad thing, social media has now taken over. While some have come out in support, some have criticized the Canadian citizen.

Caleb has shared a screenshot of a property listing for a 3BHK apartment in Domlur in the city. In any case, Caleb's ex-post has led to a lot of discussion. 

"The rent is Rs 1.75 lakh per month, but the security deposit is Rs 19.25 lakh. With this security deposit amount, I can buy a Mahindra Thar vehicle," Caleb wrote while sharing the screenshot.

Bengaluru is the most expensive city to live in in India. Land is being bought for a huge sum in the city and its surrounding areas. If you are willing to pay such a sum, you will not be able to find a suitable place to build a house. So you have to resort to renting. A large amount is charged as rent and security deposit.
