Forget everything else.. here comes Trump's mobile.. phone..

In a sign of a new effort, the Trump Organization on Monday launched a self-branded mobile service and a smartphone called Trump Mobile, priced at $499 (€429).

"We're going to introduce a whole package of products where people can come in and for a flat monthly fee they can get telemedicine on their phones, they can get roadside assistance in their cars, they can get unlimited texting to 100 countries around the world," the president's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., said while announcing the product at Trump Tower in New York.

The Trump family, known for their real estate empire, luxury hotels, and golf resorts, has ventured into new areas in recent years, including digital media and cryptocurrency.

The website, which went live after the announcement, includes details of a new Trump-branded smartphone that will be available from September, as well as a $47.45 (€40.88) monthly subscription plan to the new network. The new network will be available for a subscription price of $47.45 per month. The new mobile venture will reportedly include US-based call centers and phones made in the US.

Similar to other Trump-branded ventures that have licensed the brand to third parties, T1 Mobile uses the name "Trump" under a trademark license. As a result, the Trump Organization is not involved in designing the smartphone, manufacturing it, or providing cellular service. Therefore, DTTM Operations, the firm that manages President Trump's trademarks, has filed applications to use Trump's name and the term "T1" for telecom-related services.

The filings, filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on Thursday, include mobile phones, accessories such as cases and chargers, wireless telephone services and possibly even retail stores.

The Trump Organization, the main holding company for most of the US president's business ventures, previously said it would hand control of the company over to his children.

The smartphone industry in the United States is one of the most competitive and saturated in the world, with leading global companies such as Apple and Samsung dominating the market.

The US mobile network market is dominated by three national carriers: Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. These two control 95 percent of the wireless market.

Although American consumers buy more than 60 million smartphones annually, all of these devices are manufactured primarily in countries such as China, South Korea, India, and Vietnam.

Despite the strength of US-based tech brands, there is no significant domestic smartphone manufacturing infrastructure due to high labor costs, supply chain complexity, and reliance on foreign component sources.
