The arrest follows a complaint filed earlier this year by Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt’s mother, and marks a serious breach of trust involving one of the actress’s close aides. Police sources confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, with further scrutiny into the transactions believed to have occurred over an extended period.
As of now, Alia Bhatt and her team have not issued an official statement regarding the matter. The production house, launched by Bhatt in 2021, is known for its commitment to “real, timeless, and warm stories.” Its debut film, Darlings, a dark comedy co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, was released on Netflix and featured Bhatt alongside Shefali Shah and Vijay Varma.
Alia Bhatt’s Upcoming Projects
Despite the controversy surrounding her former staff member, Alia Bhatt remains focused on her busy slate of film projects. She is currently filming Alpha, a much-anticipated addition to the YRF Spy Universe. The action-thriller stars Sharvari Wagh in a parallel lead and is slated for release on December 25, 2025.
In addition, Bhatt is set to reunite with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for the epic drama Love and War. The film also features Vicky Kaushal in a lead role. Speaking to News18 recently, Alia expressed her excitement about the collaboration:
“I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate again after so many years… Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations.”
Bhatt also remains attached to Farhan Akhtar’s ambitious road-trip film Jee Le Zaraa, which brings together a powerhouse trio of Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. However, production timelines for the film remain unconfirmed.
