The much-anticipated Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is set for a grand release on August 14 in theatres worldwide. Ahead of its release, the film’s audio launch will be made available on the Sun NXT OTT platform on August 10, the producers announced.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Coolie boasts a star-studded cast including Sathyaraj, Aamir Khan, Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Upendra, and Soubin Shahir. The film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Krish Gangadharan.
The audio and trailer launch event took place on August 2 at the Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai, drawing massive attention both from fans and the media. Rajinikanth’s speech at the event went viral on social media, while several key members of the cast and crew, including Aamir Khan, were in attendance.
Breaking from its usual practice of uploading audio launch events directly to YouTube, Sun Pictures has opted for an exclusive premiere on its Sun NXT platform this time. According to the makers, the programme will be released on Sun NXT at 10 a.m. on August 10, followed by a television telecast on Sun TV the same day at 6:30 p.m.
With the combined star power of Rajinikanth and Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is already being hailed as one of the most anticipated Indian films of the year.
