Chennai — Kerala Devaswom Minister V.N. Vasavan personally invited Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin to attend the upcoming Global Ayyappa Summit. The invitation was extended in Chennai in the presence of Tamil Nadu Devaswom Minister P.K. Sekar Babu, Chief Secretary N. Muruganandam (IAS), Chief Minister’s Secretaries Umanath (IAS) and Anu George (IAS), and Dr. K. Manivasan, Additional Chief Secretary of the Tourism, Culture, and Endowment Department.
Accompanying Minister Vasavan from Kerala were Devaswom Secretary M.G. Rajamanickam (IAS), Travancore Devaswom Board Commissioner P. Sunil Kumar, and other senior officials.
The Travancore Devaswom Board has envisioned the Global Ayyappa Summit as the largest congregation of devotees in South India. Organized as part of the Board’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, the summit will be held on the banks of the Pampa River on September 20.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the event, with Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin attending as the chief guest. Ministers from Karnataka and Telangana, Union Ministers from Kerala, the Leader of the Opposition, and other dignitaries are also expected to participate. The summit will be conducted in accordance with traditional religious customs and practices.
