Two Shocking Crimes Against Women and Children Reported in Delhi; Police Rescue Victims, Arrest Suspects

New Delhi, October 4 – Two disturbing cases of crime against women and children have come to light in the national capital, where young boys were abducted to coerce their mothers into sexual exploitation. Swift action by the Delhi Police led to the rescue of both children and the arrest of the accused in each case.

Case 1: Abduction in Krishna Nagar, East Delhi

The first case was reported on September 15 at the Krishna Nagar police station in East Delhi. A woman from Shahdara alleged that her three-year-old son had been abducted by a neighbor the previous day.

According to DCP (Shahdara) Prashant Gautam, the accused had become acquainted with the woman about two months earlier and had even proposed marriage a month ago, which she declined. On the pretext of providing medical treatment, he allegedly abducted her child.

A police team scanned over 30 CCTV cameras, analyzed call detail records, and conducted extensive technical surveillance, eventually tracing the suspect’s movements to Bihar. As the man kept changing locations, the search intensified until he was finally tracked down at Surat railway station in Gujarat on September 19.

With assistance from the Government Railway Police in Surat, the Delhi Police arrested the accused and rescued the child. He has since been remanded to judicial custody. Police confirmed that the accused had no prior criminal record.

Case 2: Kidnapping in Vikaspuri, West Delhi

The second case was reported on September 28 in Vikaspuri, West Delhi, when the mother of a seven-year-old boy lodged a complaint stating that her son had not returned home from school the previous day.

The woman alleged that a man she had previously lived with was behind the abduction. According to DCP (West) Daraade Sharad Bhaskar, the accused had displayed a controlling and violent nature, often assaulting the woman and expressing suspicion about her interactions with others. She eventually separated from him, but he allegedly continued efforts to force her back into a relationship.

Police said CCTV footage revealed two individuals abducting the child near his school. After the abduction, the suspect switched off his phone, complicating the search. Following a detailed investigation, officers located one of his associates in Vikaspuri and recovered a country-made pistol from his residence. Acting on further leads, the police raided a farmhouse where the accused and his accomplices were hiding.

The boy was rescued safely, and the accused along with two associates were arrested on the spot.
