Multiple videos capturing the aftermath of the blast have surfaced online, including CCTV footage from a nearby residence that recorded the exact moment of the detonation. The visuals show a sudden, intense flash as the blast ripped through the police station complex, followed by flames shooting upward—visually underscoring the magnitude of the explosion, which was heard several kilometres away.
The impact shattered windows and doors of surrounding houses, with several residents reporting that it felt “like a massive earthquake.” Officials confirmed that the blast occurred amid an ongoing investigation into a ‘white-collar’ terror module connected to the November 10 Delhi car blast.
According to officials quoted by PTI, the explosives involved are believed to be part of the 360 kilograms of material recovered from the rented residence of arrested doctor Muzammil Ganaie.
CCTV footage emerged as authorities confirmed that eight injured policemen were rushed for immediate medical treatment following the explosion. Two bodies, including that of an inspector-rank officer, were later retrieved from the debris.
The police station was completely reduced to rubble, with vehicles inside the premises left twisted and mangled. Nearby homes also suffered significant structural damage. Sources revealed that a team from the State Investigation Agency (SIA) and other officials were present at the site and were reportedly examining seized explosive material when the massive detonation occurred.
