Security forces kill two senior Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists; huge cache of arms recovered from the spot

Jammu and Kashmir: Two senior Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed in a lightning operation by security forces in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. Among those killed was Saifullah, a top commander of the terrorist organization.

The army repelled the terrorists who crossed the border through a joint military operation codenamed 'Operation Thrashi-1'. A large cache of weapons, including two AK-47 rifles, was recovered from the encounter site.

The encounter began around 10:30 am today in the deep forests of Kishtwar. Based on intelligence inputs from the Intelligence Bureau and Kashmir Police, the army cordoned off the area. The terrorists were killed after a fierce gunfight that lasted for more than two hours. The army bravely confronted the terrorists hiding on the hillsides. The area is still under tight surveillance by the security forces.

The slain Saifullah was the mastermind behind several attacks on security personnel in the Jammu region, especially in Doda and Kishtwar areas. He had infiltrated from Pakistan and was instrumental in coordinating the activities of Jaish-e-Mohammed.
