A 20-year-old man was allegedly shot dead by his own friends in a shocking incident reported from Faridabad’s Bhikam Colony, triggering widespread outrage in the locality.
According to the victim’s family, the young man, identified as Yogesh, was lured out of his house by a friend on the pretext of helping unload sacks of grain. The family initially expected him to return shortly, but were later informed that he had been shot.
When relatives reached the spot, they found Yogesh critically injured with a gunshot wound to his forehead. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where doctors made efforts to save him. However, after battling for his life for two days, he succumbed to his injuries.
Yogesh was the only son in a family with three sisters, and his death has left the family in deep shock. He was reportedly at home and searching for employment at the time of the incident.
The incident has sparked protests in the area, with residents demanding swift action against those responsible. Police have registered a case of murder and confirmed that the accused have been identified. A search operation is currently underway to apprehend them
Officials have assured that all those involved will be arrested soon and that the motive behind the killing will be thoroughly investigated.
