A disturbing case of sexual assault has emerged from Alwar, where a man identified as Rahul Meena is accused of raping the wife of a close friend on the night of April 21.
According to the complaint, the accused allegedly used deception to gain entry into the victim’s home. Earlier that evening, the victim’s husband had left to attend a wedding ceremony along with a friend. During the journey, Rahul Meena reportedly insisted on accompanying them and later attended the event. However, he is said to have returned to the village alone before the others.
Investigators state that the accused reached his friend’s residence and knocked on the door. The victim, believing it to be her husband, opened the door. The accused then allegedly misled her by claiming that her husband was calling her outside. Once she stepped out, he is reported to have forcibly taken her into another room and sexually assaulted her. The victim’s two children were present in the house at the time and were asleep during the incident.
Following the assault, the accused fled the scene. The victim subsequently contacted her husband over the phone and informed him of the incident, after which a formal complaint was lodged with the police.
Authorities have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter.
Alleged Criminal Pattern Under Scrutiny
The Alwar incident has drawn further attention due to its alleged link to another serious crime in Delhi. According to police sources, after the incident in Alwar, the accused travelled to Delhi, where he is suspected of involvement in the murder of the daughter of an Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer.
Preliminary findings suggest that the accused may have exploited personal relationships and trust to commit such offences. Law enforcement agencies are currently examining the sequence of events and any broader criminal pattern.
The case continues to be under active investigation, with police pursuing all relevant leads.
