Pala: Female doctor found dead in Kerala. Police suspected suicide
The deceased is Dr. Sheba Rachel (Lakshmi R Panicker - 30), wife of Subin P. Varghese, Parayirukkumanal, Padinjarrethil, Ullannoor Pathanamthitta district. She was a senior medical officer at Cherpungal Mar Sliwa Hospital.
Sheba was found hanging in the hostel in Kezhuvamkulam, pala in Kottayam, where she was staying. The hostel room was bolted from inside. Police suspect it could be suicide. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
Dr. Sheba (Lakshmi R Panicker) is the daughter of Konni EMS Charitable Society Governing Body Member V Ranganath and Ret. Tahsildar Satiamma.
The body will be brought to his home in Valanchuzhi, Pathanamthitta at 8.30 am on Monday, April 20. Then, it will be taken to her husband's residence in Kulanada at 9.45 am.
Funeral services will begin at the home on Monday (20-04-2026) at 1.00 pm, followed by burial at 2.00 pm at St. Mary's Orthodox Church, Ullannoor.
