TCS Nashik Case: Accused Nida Khan’s Family Denies Charges, Calls Probe Politically Motivated

Fresh developments have emerged in the alleged sexual harassment and forced conversion case linked to a Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) BPO facility in Nashik, with the family of one of the accused, Nida Khan, strongly denying all allegations and describing the case as politically motivated.

Nida Khan’s father rejected the charges, asserting that his daughter—initially identified as the HR head of the Nashik unit—has been falsely implicated as part of a broader conspiracy. He maintained that the accusations are baseless and suggested the case may have been fabricated to divert attention from other controversies, including the recent arrest of Nashik-based self-styled godman Ashok Kharat in a rape case.

Other family members, including her mother and uncle, also dismissed the allegations, claiming that Nida had no interaction with the complainant. They stated that she is currently staying at her in-laws’ residence in Bhiwandi and is pregnant. The family added that the accusations have caused them significant distress, emphasising that she has never pressured anyone to convert or made derogatory remarks about any religion, and that she respects all faiths.

Meanwhile, police have detained Nida Khan’s husband for questioning in connection with the case. According to sources, he told investigators that he was unaware of any alleged activities. The couple had reportedly been residing in Mumbra for the past two months, while Nida had previously lived in Nashik and Bhiwandi.

The case has drawn widespread attention, with multiple complaints alleging that a group targeted young women employees between the ages of 18 and 25. So far, nine FIRs have been registered, including one filed by a male employee who alleged religious harassment and attempted conversion.

The allegations include the abuse of Hindu deities, coercion to consume non-vegetarian food, and pressure to adhere to specific religious practices.

Police have arrested eight individuals in connection with the case—seven men and one woman. The accused have been identified as Danish Sheikh, Tausif Attar, Raza Memon, Shahrukh Qureshi, Shafi Sheikh, Asif Aftab Ansar, and Shahrukh Sheikh.
