SEOUL, South Korea — In response to devastating severe weather and catastrophic flooding, South Korea has committed to deploying a specialized emergency disaster relief team to assist Nepal.
The humanitarian mission aims to support ongoing rescue and recovery operations in the affected regions. Government officials in Seoul stated that the relief squad will coordinate closely with local authorities to address critical infrastructure needs, provide medical aid, and distribute emergency supplies to displaced populations.
The deployment follows a series of deadly natural disasters in the Himalayan nation, which have left hundreds stranded and severely strained local emergency response capabilities. International aid organizations continue to monitor the situation closely as rescue teams navigate treacherous conditions to reach isolated communities.
