Since July 2018, a unique QR code has been issued on all PAN cards containing information about the taxpayer. With this QR code, you can check the PAN card holder's picture, name, father's / mother's name and date of birth.
The Permanent Account Number or PAN (PAN) card is a 10 digit unique alphanumeric code that keeps a complete record of an individual's financial transactions in India. PAN card is also used by individuals all over India as an identity document. But now many people are using fake PAN cards. Until recently, these were very difficult to identify.
To read this QR code you need to use an app called 'Advanced Pan QR Code Reader' available in the Google Play Store.
