Auckland: RAM-RAID - Achieved by thieves Auckland (New Zealand). Several recent ram-raids in Auckland remain alarming. In CCTV footage taken at Thirsty Liquor in Huntsbury, a black car can be seen lining up the store from the road before driving through the front door. The car reverses before ramming the store a second time, smashing through the entire street-facing section.

The theft was last reported after 2 a.m. Monday, police said. According to police, there were 283 raids across the country in the 12 months to October last year. I.e. more than five cases per week. Last month, a mall in Auckland was raided by raiders and robbed of electrical goods and clothing. Small business owners are now the most feared in this regard.

The incident comes after the government announced its decision on the issue related to the Ram raids. The government's $ 550 million project includes new guns for police and a package to help businesses protect themselves from ram raids; As promised in the pre-budget announcement.

One of the cars was found in Glen Eden, and police dogs tracked a scent to a nearby property where police arrested two people on unrelated matters. As inquiries continued into the early morning two other men aged 18 and 19 were arrested over the raids.

They will appear in the Waitākere District Court, and police can't rule out further arrests. Further south, in Counties Manukau, police are investigating a thwarted burglary attempt at a phone retailer in Takanini.

At 12.40am offenders smashed a window to gain entry to the store. However, the store had a fog cannon installed which meant their attempts were futile and they were forced to leave empty-handed. Despite no theft occurring, police are looking into the incident and ask anyone with information to contact them on 105.
