A new poll indicates that SINN FÉIN REMAINS by a significant margin Ireland's most popular party.
According to the Sunday Independent/Ireland Thinks poll, Sinn Féin has a 35% approval rating, down 1% from last month.
Fianna Fáil's approval rating has increased marginally by two percentage points to 17 percent, while Fine Gael's support has remained stable at 22 percent.
The Green Party receives the same 4 percent of the vote as the Social Democrats and Solidarity-PBP, rounding out the Government parties.
Support for Independents/Others is at 9 percent, compared to 3 percent for Aont and 3 percent for the Labour Party.
Micheál Martin is not far behind Mary Lou McDonald with a rating of 4.4 out of 10, but Mary Lou McDonald continues to be the post-popular leader. Leo Varadkar has a 3.9 out of 10 approval rating, while Eamon Ryan has the lowest rating of the leaders at 2.2 out of 10.
The poll also asked participants to name the top two topics that they believed the government should prioritise.
63 percent of respondents agreed that the government's top priority should be to address the cost of living crisis, with housing coming in at 51 percent.
The survey was taken on Friday of last week and yesterday. There were 1,180 participants in the sample, and the margin of error was +/- 2.9%.
