Yoweri Museveni, the president of Uganda, announced on Saturday that the government will impose an overnight curfew, close places of worship and entertainment, and limit travel into and out of two Ebola-affected areas for a period of 21 days.
In a televised national address, he announced that the steps intended to stop the disease's spread will be implemented right away in the central Ugandan districts of Mubende and Kassanda, which are the epidemic's epicentre.
"These are only short-term methods to stop the spread of the Ebola virus. We should all work together with the authorities to stop this outbreak as soon as possible "added Museveni.
Since the east African country confirmed the onset of the deadly hemorrhagic fever on September 20th, Museveni said that 19 individuals have passed away.
