When his tooth was disqualified, a tribal kid in Attappadi lost his chance at the post of beat forest officer. Muthu, son of Velli of Anavai oor in Puthoor panchayat, suffered a tooth failure which prevented him from getting a government job.
After succeeding in the written exam and the physical test for the PSC's special recruitment to appoint a beat forest officer, Muthu met in face-to-face interview.Prior to this, the certificate issued by the doctor who examined his fitness had noted tooth. Muthu's teeth were damaged due to a fall at a young age.According to experts, the surgery, which costs Rs 18,000, can fix the problem.
About 15 kilometres away from Mukkali in the interior forest is Anavai Oor, where Muthu resides. The Kurumbar village in Oor is totally reliant on the forest. Due to the difficulties and poverty in the village, Muthu's parents claimed they were unable to have his teeth fixed.
The PSC added that the special regulation specifically lists the requirements and exclusions for a number of unique positions.
The candidate will be disqualified if this is discovered. According to Psc officials, a tooth and a comb (anterior) teeth are among the grounds for exclusion.
