Last night, an unusual malfunction in some ATM machines across the country resulted in ATM machines disbursing cash to many people who did not have cash in their accounts.
It went viral on social media and led to huge queues at Bank of Ireland ATMs in Ireland last night. Long queues formed in many places in front of ATMs as the news spread that there is a facility to withdraw from 500 Euros to 1000 Euros even if there is no money in the bank account. And there was a huge rush in the shopping malls
