Circle K has apologized for wrongly filling petrol pumps with diesel. In a statement issued today, Circle K apologized to customers after the petrol storage tank was mistakenly filled with diesel over the weekend.
The incident happened between 2pm and 7pm on Saturday at the Circle K Kill North service station, located near the northbound lane of the N7. Circle K also informed customers that 87 motorists were affected. A Circle K spokesperson said the issue at the site has now been resolved and all pumps are now functioning as normal.
"An isolated incident affected all the petrol pumps at this service station where diesel was inadvertently delivered to the underground petrol storage," the statement said. “Having reviewed CCTV and sales data, we know that up to 87 customers may have been affected by this issue. As soon as the problem became apparent, the front petrol pumps were immediately shut down and Circle K launched an investigation to find out how this happened.
At Circle K, we guarantee the quality of the fuel and we want to assure all customers that this is an isolated incident. "Circle K would like to apologize to all affected customers," the statement said. We are ready to help the affected customers to resolve any issues as soon as possible and want to assure them that we will assist them in any possible claim." To help them resolve any issues related to their vehicles", the company said, a dedicated helpline has been opened for the affected customers.
