According to figures released by the central government, 55,465 Indian students were in the UK on student visas in 2022. A total of 1,42,848 student visas were granted to Indian nationals in June 2023, according to the Home Office of the UK Government.

A total of 29,048 new student rooms were created across the UK in 2020, but this has fallen to 13,543 this year, some of which are older buildings, according to the Higher Education Policy Institute (HEPI) blog.
