Europe is facing another heat wave, Met Eireann predicts

Europe is facing another heatwave this coming week. A heat dome is expected to form over parts of Western Europe. Although Europe has entered the second month of autumn, it is experiencing unusual temperatures here.

Temperatures in Ireland won't reach those highs this week, but Met Eireann is predicting high temperatures with mostly dry conditions and occasional showers.

Tomorrow's high will be 13 to 16 degrees, with moderate south-westerly winds. The outlook is similar for the rest of the week, predicting mainly dry weather with highs between the 14th and 17th.

Warm weather is forecast to continue into next weekend. And Europe and the UK will feel warmer. Southern France and the Iberian Peninsula are expected to reach temperatures in the mid to high thirties.

Temperatures in southern England are forecast to reach the mid-twenties, while countries such as Belgium and the Netherlands can expect similar temperatures.
