It also urged similar action against those responsible for violence against Kuki-Zo women and children throughout the ongoing ethnic unrest in the state.

This measure was first imposed on November 16th The Manipur Congress unit has urged party president Mallikarjun Kharge to take action against senior leader P. Chidambaram for his now-deleted post advocating regional autonomy in Manipur. The party members expressed unanimous condemnation of the statement.
