29 Naxals Surrender in Chhattisgarh Amid Intensified Anti-Naxal Operations

Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh – In a significant development, 29 Naxals from the Kutul area surrendered before Narayanpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Prabhat Kumar on Wednesday, officials confirmed. Among those who surrendered, 22 were men, and seven were women.

SP Prabhat Kumar emphasized that the administration's ongoing efforts against Naxalism are yielding positive results. "We are actively conducting operations to counter Naxal activities, and as a result, significant development work has taken place in the Kutul region. This progress is fostering social change, influencing individuals to abandon Naxal activities and reintegrate into society," he stated.

Security Forces Seize Key Maoist Training Camp

In a separate operation, security forces successfully took control of a Maoist training camp situated in the core area of PLGA Battalion No. __, deep within the dense forests of Bhattiguda in Bijapur district. The camp was discovered abandoned, as Maoists fled during an intensive search operation conducted by security forces.

The joint operation was executed by the COBRA units 201, 204, and 210. Security personnel stormed the camp on Tuesday, dismantling a Naxal martyr memorial in the process. The camp was found to contain tall trees prepared for training purposes, trenches, and various other resources, including permanent barracks and huts used by the Maoists.

Officials have hailed the operation as a major setback for Maoist activities in the region, highlighting the security forces' continued commitment to dismantling their infrastructure and restoring peace.

Recent Encounter in Chhattisgarh Leads to 16 Naxal Casualties

Meanwhile, in another significant anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh's __, security forces engaged in a fierce encounter, resulting in the recovery of 16 Naxal bodies. The operation, which commenced on Sunday, also led to the elimination of several senior Maoist cadres and the seizure of a large cache of weapons, including automatic firearms such as self-loading rifles (SLRs).

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister praised the relentless efforts of the security forces in countering the Naxal threat, reaffirming the government’s unwavering commitment to eradicating Naxalism from the state. The recent successes underscore the administration’s strategic approach to maintaining law and order while promoting development in conflict-affected areas.

As anti-Naxal operations continue across Chhattisgarh, authorities remain optimistic about further breakthroughs in curbing insurgency and fostering long-term stability in the region.
