New Delhi: With the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 drawing near, BJP leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar launched a scathing attack on Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of betraying the promises made to the people and indulging in corruption. Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Chandrasekhar also targeted the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress for what he called "politics of loot."
"People
have understood the reality of Arvind Kejriwal," Chandrasekhar said.
"He claimed he would never take a house or a government car, yet he now
resides in a luxurious bungalow. He positioned himself as an anti-corruption
crusader, but today, he stands as a mascot of corruption."
The BJP
leader alleged that Kejriwal, alongside Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, was
employing diversion tactics to shift focus away from their failures. “Their
politics revolves around making promises, but when in power, they resort to
plundering resources,” he asserted, adding that the public’s patience has run
thin after a decade of what he described as stalled development.
‘AAP-Congress Have No Difference’: Chandrasekhar
Drawing
parallels between AAP and Congress, Chandrasekhar claimed there was no
significant difference in their political approach. "Both parties promise
the moon during elections but fail to deliver when it matters. The people of
Delhi are now ready for a change and have decided to bring BJP to power,"
he stated confidently.
Criticism of Campaign Rhetoric
Chandrasekhar
also condemned the rhetoric being used by opposition parties during the
campaign period. "Aam Aadmi Party and Rahul Gandhi have resorted to
abusive politics, and we anticipate more of this in the next 13 days as they
become increasingly desperate," he said.
A High-Stakes Election
As
campaigning intensifies for the Delhi Assembly Elections, the BJP has sought to
present itself as the alternative to AAP’s governance. The capital, which has
been under AAP’s control for a decade, is now witnessing heightened political
activity, with all major parties vying for voter confidence.
