Family of Four Found Dead in Bengaluru: Police Suspect Financial Distress

In a tragic incident, four members of a family were discovered dead under mysterious circumstances in their rented residence at RMV 2nd Stage, Bengaluru, falling within the jurisdiction of the Sadashivanagar Police Station.

The deceased have been identified as Anup Kumar (38), his wife Rakhi (35), their 5-year-old daughter, and their 2-year-old son. The family hailed from Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, according to officials familiar with the case.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Shekhar H. Tekkannavar stated that the incident was reported when the family’s domestic help arrived for work on Tuesday morning. Receiving no response to her repeated knocks on the door, the maid peered through a window, only to witness the lifeless bodies inside. She immediately raised an alarm, prompting neighbors to alert the authorities.

Anup Kumar, a software consultant employed with a private firm in Bengaluru, is believed to have been facing financial difficulties, which police suspect may have driven the couple to take the extreme step. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding the cause of death.

Authorities have described the deaths as occurring under unexplained circumstances. A detailed investigation has been initiated, and further updates are expected as the inquiry progresses.

This harrowing incident underscores the need for community vigilance and support mechanisms for individuals facing personal or financial crises.
