Ludhiana (Raj): The Ludhiana police have swiftly solved the high-profile Manvi murder case within hours, uncovering shocking details about the crime. According to the police, the murder was orchestrated by none other than Manvi’s husband, Anokh Mittal, who allegedly hired contract killers to carry out the crime. A total of six individuals, including Mittal, have been arrested in connection with the case.
Addressing the media, Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal revealed that Mittal planned the murder due to his illicit relationship with another woman. Seeking to marry her, he conspired with the woman and executed the crime in the Dehlon area. The police acted swiftly, apprehending all six accused, including the prime suspect, Anokh Mittal.
Incident Details
The victim, Manvi alias Lipsi (32), was brutally murdered late at night on the Dehlon bypass. Initially, Mittal had reported to the police that the couple was returning to Ludhiana after dining at a restaurant near Pohir on the Dehlon-Malerkotla road. Around 12:45 AM, they stopped at the Dehlon bypass, where Mittal claimed they were attacked by a group of 5-6 assailants. He stated that the attackers struck him with an iron rod and covered his mouth, rendering him unconscious.
Upon regaining consciousness 15-20 minutes later, Mittal alleged that he found their car missing and his wife lying on the road with severe injuries inflicted by sharp weapons. The Dehlon police, led by Inspector Sukhjinder Singh, responded promptly, rushing the victim to Civil Hospital Dehlon before transferring her to Dayanand Hospital in Ludhiana, where she succumbed to her injuries. According to Mittal’s initial statement, the attackers fled with Manvi’s gold bracelet, chain, and their Ritz car.
However, further investigation uncovered the truth, leading to the arrest of Mittal and his accomplices. The case highlights a meticulously planned crime motivated by personal interests, which was swiftly cracked by the Ludhiana police.
