Stolen Pickup Truck Recovered in Dehlan; One Arrested, Search On for Second Accused

 Una (Vishal), Himachal Pradesh: In a swift operation, the Mehtpur police team has successfully recovered a stolen pickup truck from Dehlan. One accused, identified as Tajinder Jeet Singh, a resident of Sahnewala in Garden City tehsil of Ludhiana district, Punjab, has been arrested, while efforts are underway to apprehend the second suspect.

Incident Overview

The theft occurred last week when a pickup truck, parked overnight on the roadside in Dehlan, was stolen. The vehicle’s owner, Jashandeep Singh, discovered the theft in the morning and promptly reported the incident to the police. Acting on the complaint, a case was registered, and the investigation was assigned to SI Narinder Singh of Mehtpur police station.

With a focused investigative approach, the police team analyzed CCTV footage from the area, which ultimately led to the identification and arrest of one of the accused.

Modus Operandi

According to police sources, the arrested individual, a plumber by profession, had traveled to the Maa Chintpurni temple with a friend a few days ago. On their way back, they spotted the unattended pickup truck parked on the roadside and decided to steal it.

ASP Surendra Sharma confirmed that the vehicle has been successfully recovered and that efforts are ongoing to track down the second suspect involved in the crime. The investigation remains active, and further developments are expected soon.
