P CM Yogi Adityanath Criticizes Rahul Gandhi, Congress Over Ayodhya, Minority Reservation, and Election Influence

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a sharp attack on Congress leader and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, referring to him as a “namuna” (specimen) and accusing him of deliberately keeping the Ayodhya controversy alive.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Adityanath criticized Gandhi’s nationwide march, terming it a “Bharat Todo Abhiyan” (Divide India Campaign). He alleged that the Congress leader was working against national interests and questioned the party’s governance over the past decades.

"Shouldn't one India become a superior India? Congress should answer what they were doing for the last six to ten decades. Rahul Gandhi should have asked his grandfather, grandmother, and father why they did not take action during their time," Adityanath stated.

Highlighting BJP’s Achievements

Emphasizing the strong public support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Adityanath pointed to key initiatives such as the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the abolition of triple talaq, and the promotion of the Kumbh Mela. He alleged that Congress had always sought to prolong the Ayodhya dispute for political gains.

"For years, they did politics in the name of Mahatma Gandhi, but back in 1916, Gandhi himself made strong remarks about Kashi’s Sankri Gali. Why did Congress fail to fulfill his vision? It was PM Modi who realized that dream," he remarked.

Adityanath further questioned Congress' approach to social reforms, stating, "Why did the Congress not abolish triple talaq? Why did they not take pride in promoting the Kumbh Mela? Why did they fail to develop world-class infrastructure in the country? Today, a transformed Ayodhya is a testament to the new India under BJP’s leadership."

‘Namuna’ Remark on Rahul Gandhi and Allegations of Foreign Influence

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister reiterated his disapproval of Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra, alleging it was an attempt to create divisions rather than unity.

"The Bharat Jodo Yatra is, in reality, a ‘Bharat Todo Abhiyan.’ He criticizes India while being outside the country. The people of India understand his intentions well. In Indian politics, figures like Rahul Gandhi are necessary so that BJP’s path remains clear and progressive," he said.

Further intensifying his criticism, Adityanath accused Congress and its INDIA bloc allies of using foreign funding to influence the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that billionaire investor George Soros had financially backed efforts to manipulate the electoral process.

"They spread propaganda, and foreign money was directly or indirectly involved. George Soros had declared his intentions long ago. Congress and its allies attempted to influence elections through these means. Such actions amount to deshdroh (treason)," Adityanath asserted.

Condemnation of Minority Reservation and Opposition to Hindi

The Chief Minister also criticized the Congress-led Karnataka government for its decision to implement a four percent minority reservation quota, calling it an insult to the Constitution drafted by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.

Additionally, he raised concerns over opposition to Hindi, particularly by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.

"Why hate Hindi? Language unites, it does not divide. The country should not be split along linguistic or regional lines," Adityanath said, highlighting the significance of national integration.

He also praised Prime Minister Modi for initiatives like Kashi-Tamil Sangamam, which celebrates cultural ties between North and South India.

"Every Indian holds deep respect for Tamil, a language as ancient as Sanskrit. When certain political parties see their vote banks shifting, they attempt to divide the nation based on language and region. The public must remain vigilant against such tactics," he concluded.
