New Delhi: In a fiery address to the nation following the success of Operation Sindoor, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared a bold new strategic doctrine for India: no distinction between terrorists and the governments that harbor them and no tolerance for nuclear blackmail. In what is being seen as a watershed moment in India’s counter-terror policy, Modi asserted that India’s response to terrorism will be uncompromising, unforgiving, and unrelenting.
“Terror under the shadow of nuclear blackmail will be strongly responded to. India will act, in its own way and on its own terms,” the Prime Minister said in his nationwide address.
Pakistan Exposed, “Begged for Peace”
The Prime Minister minced no words in naming Pakistan as the chief sponsor of terrorism, referencing the presence of Pakistani army officers at the funerals of slain terrorists as proof of state-sponsored terror. He stated that it was Pakistan’s own Directorate General of Military Operations (DGMO) that reached out to India for a ceasefire—rejecting suggestions of any foreign mediation.
“It was Pakistan that came begging after facing the full might of India’s armed forces,” Modi said, dismissing media reports of a US-brokered truce.
Operation Sindoor: A Mission of Justice
Declaring that Operation Sindoor is not over, but only paused, Modi confirmed that over 100 top terrorists were neutralized, including many who had eluded justice for decades while living openly in Pakistan.
“We didn’t just strike buildings—we shattered their confidence,” he declared.
Referring to the terror hubs in Bahawalpur and Muridke as “Global Universities of Terror”, Modi said these centres were linked to multiple international attacks, including 9/11 and the London Tube bombings.
He emotionally invoked the memory of victims of recent terror attacks, especially the Pahalgam massacre, where women and children were brutally killed. “Pakistan tried to wipe the sindoor from the foreheads of our women. We uprooted their universities of terror,” Modi said.
“Not an Era of Terror”
Addressing the international community, Modi reiterated India's commitment to peace but warned that the road to peace runs through power.
“This is not an era of terrorism. The world must unite for zero tolerance. Only then can we ensure a better future,” he said.
He further made it clear that talks with Pakistan will only be on two issues: ending terrorism and the future of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). Trade, diplomacy, and even water-sharing under the Indus Water Treaty will remain suspended until tangible action is taken by Islamabad against terror networks.
A Salute to India’s Armed Forces and Nari Shakti
Modi paid glowing tribute to the Indian armed forces, intelligence agencies, and scientific community, praising their swift, coordinated strikes that dismantled Pakistan’s terror infrastructure and even damaged its airbases.
He particularly highlighted the contribution of women—India’s “Nari Shakti”—both as victims of terrorism and as symbols of national resolve.
“Operation Sindoor was not just a military operation—it was the emotion of every Indian. It was a vow of justice fulfilled,” he said.
India’s Military Dominance and New Doctrine
Calling the Pakistani Army a “hollow institution”, Modi said India has demonstrated supremacy in modern warfare using Made-in-India weapons and advanced technology. He asserted that the operation proved that India could strike deep into enemy territory and deliver precise, overwhelming retaliation.
“Operation Sindoor is a new chapter. India has shown the world what it is capable of in the new age of warfare,” he said.
“We Are Watching Every Move”
Modi ended his address with a stern warning to Pakistan, asserting that while operations are paused, India remains fully alert, and every movement on the other side of the border is being monitored.
“Terror and talks cannot go together. Terror and trade cannot go together. Blood and water cannot flow together,” he said.
“India has drawn a new line. We will strike at the roots of terror—wherever they are, whoever supports them.”
Operation Sindoor, hailed by strategic experts as one of the most significant Indian military campaigns in recent decades, has now formally become a symbol of India’s assertive counter-terrorism posture. As the nation rallies behind its armed forces, the message from New Delhi is loud and clear: India will never allow its sindoor to be wiped again—without making its enemies pay dearly.
