The incident took place hours before the Pakistan Super League (PSL) match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings. The drone incident has raised questions about the safety of players and spectators at the tournament.

The report said a restaurant building near the stadium was partially damaged in the accident. Pakistani local reports said authorities were investigating the origin of the drone and whether it was carrying any payload, and that the area had been sealed off. Two injured civilians were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
