DUBLIN, June 21, 2025 — Country music sensation and Grammy Award-winner Zach Bryan brought Phoenix Park to life on Friday evening, performing to an electrified crowd of over 60,000 fans on the first of three sold-out shows in the Irish capital.Zach Bryan
The performance marked the park’s largest music event since Ed Sheeran’s 2018 concerts, and by all accounts, the Oklahoma-born artist delivered a set that was as powerful as it was unforgettable. With the summer sun casting a golden hue over the sprawling grounds, fans sang along passionately to chart-toppers including Something in the Orange, Pink Skies, and Heading South.
“If there were a roof on Phoenix Park, Zach Bryan would’ve blown it off,” said one concertgoer, echoing the sentiments of thousands.
Just a day before the show, Bryan was spotted mingling with locals at The Celt pub in Dublin’s city centre — even engaging in a spirited arm-wrestling match, further endearing himself to Irish fans.
A Nationwide Audience — and Beyond
Speaking ahead of the concerts, Peter Aiken of Aiken Promotions noted that Bryan’s appeal had drawn crowds from far beyond the capital.
“Normally for a big concert, say for Springsteen in Croke Park, 50% of our audience would be from the greater Dublin area. For this, it’s about 10%,” Aiken explained. “There’s a big crowd coming from the North, Donegal, Mayo, and a significant number flying in from the United States. These major events are increasingly becoming international attractions.”
According to Aiken Promotions, only a small portion of Bryan’s 180,000-strong audience this weekend hails from Dublin, with the majority aged between 18 and 35. The concerts are scheduled to run through Sunday night, with each evening expected to draw over 60,000 attendees.
Public Advised to Respect Wildlife, Use Transport Options
With the Phoenix Park’s delicate ecosystem and residential surroundings in mind, authorities are urging concertgoers to be respectful throughout the weekend.
Margaret Gormley of the Office of Public Works emphasized the importance of coexisting with the park’s natural environment. “We don’t recommend feeding the deer and ask that people stay at least 50 meters away from them — they are wild animals,” she said. “We want everyone to enjoy their event, but also to leave no trace and respect our neighbours.”
She also reminded attendees of the vastness of Phoenix Park — which spans over 1,700 acres — and encouraged all guests to stick to surface paths and remain mindful of their surroundings.
Gardaà have advised attendees to allow ample time for entry, as most ticket holders will enter via Park Gate. Organisers recommend budgeting at least 45 minutes for the walk from the entrance to the main concert grounds.
To manage the influx, Marathon Group has arranged special transport services, including concert-specific routes from Earlsfort Terrace and orbital routes directly to Phoenix Park. Pick-up and drop-off points will remain within the park to streamline access.
Importantly, there is no parking available either inside Phoenix Park or in the surrounding streets. All attendees are strongly encouraged to use public transport or shuttle services to reach the venue.
As one of the largest live music events in Ireland this year, Zach Bryan’s Phoenix Park residency has already proven to be both a musical triumph and a logistical feat — with more to come as the weekend continues.
