ACCRA — In a historic moment for India-Africa relations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the Parliament of Ghana, becoming the first Indian Prime Minister in over three decades to do so. His visit marks a renewed diplomatic push to deepen ties with one of Africa’s fastest-growing economies.
“Ghana is a land that radiates democracy and brilliance,” Prime Minister Modi said during his address, highlighting the shared democratic values and aspirations between the two nations.
The visit saw the signing of multiple bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening cooperation across diverse sectors, including research and development, pharmaceuticals, and cultural exchange.
