New Delhi: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey on Thursday hit back at Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi after the Congress leader hailed India’s Gen Z as defenders of democracy and the Constitution.
In a sharp response to Gandhi’s post on X, where he positioned himself as a supporter of youth-led change, Dubey argued that India’s younger generation rejects dynastic politics, corruption, and ideological inconsistency.
“Gen Z is against nepotism and dynastic rule. Why will Gen Z tolerate Rahul ji after Nehru ji, Indira ji, Rajiv ji, Sonia ji? It is against corruption, why won’t they drive you away?” Dubey wrote.
Taking his attack further, Dubey claimed:
“They want to make Bangladesh an Islamic nation and Nepal a Hindu nation, why won’t they make India a Hindu nation? You should prepare to leave the country, they are coming.”
Rahul Gandhi, in his original post, had asserted that India’s Gen Z will play a decisive role in protecting democracy and safeguarding the Constitution. Sharing his picture, he wrote:
“The youth of the country, the students of the country, the Gen Z of the country will save the Constitution, protect democracy, and stop vote theft. I always stand with them. Jai Hind!”
Gandhi’s remarks drew support from Samajwadi Party leader I.P. Singh, who called for a “Gen Z revolution”, claiming that young people are awakening to demand their rights. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday celebrations on September 17, Singh alleged that “thousands of crores of rupees were squandered under the watchful eyes of unemployed youth,” insisting that there would be an “accounting” for such spending.

The exchanges came shortly after Rahul Gandhi renewed allegations of voter manipulation in Karnataka’s Aland constituency, claiming there was an attempt to delete over 6,000 names from the rolls.
The Election Commission of India dismissed the allegations as “incorrect and baseless,” emphasizing that no voter can be removed without due process and an opportunity to be heard.
The BJP, meanwhile, accused Gandhi of undermining constitutional institutions, saying his repeated attacks reflect the Congress party’s lack of faith in Indian democracy.
Continuing his offensive, Gandhi alleged that the Election Commission must stop shielding “vote chors” and demanded that it provide, within a week, the information sought by the Karnataka CID in its probe into voter deletions.
“If not,” Gandhi warned, “it will be clear that the Commission is complicit in the murder of the Constitution.”
