Bengaluru: A man has been arrested for brutally assaulting a school teacher after she rejected his romantic advances. The shocking incident took place in Chikkamagaluru district’s Jayapura area.

The accused, identified as 26-year-old Bhavith, allegedly intercepted the 25-year-old teacher on her way home from school. According to police reports, he stripped her, tied her to a tree, and subjected her to a brutal assault. The victim, who sustained severe injuries, has been admitted to a hospital in Shivamogga.
Investigations reveal that the accused had been harassing the teacher for some time. After she blocked his number and refused to meet him, Bhavith reportedly became enraged and plotted the attack. He lay in wait along her usual route home and ambushed her.
Local residents discovered the injured woman hours later in a secluded area and immediately alerted the authorities. Jayapura Police have taken the accused into custody and initiated a detailed investigation into the incident.
