A chilling CCTV recording has captured the moment real estate agent Freddy D’Lima was shot in broad daylight, revealing the exact second the assailant opened fire. The footage, taken from cameras installed near the scene, shows the attackers approaching and carrying out the assault with precision.
As the hunt continues for the motorcycle-borne shooters, Mumbai Police on Thursday arrested a key suspect who allegedly planned the murder and coordinated with the gunmen. The accused, Munna Mayuddin Shaikh (34), is believed to be the mastermind behind the plot to kill the real estate agent. The CCTV footage, now widely circulated on social media, shows D’Lima and a friend exiting a shopping complex and walking towards their parked car. A masked assailant approaches D’Lima and fires two shots—one to the abdomen and another to the chest—causing him to collapse on the road. The 38-second clip also shows the shooter fleeing the scene and rejoining two accomplices waiting on a motorcycle nearby.
Police officials said the attackers had been hiding in the vicinity, waiting for D’Lima to emerge. Multiple CCTV cameras in the area captured the sequence of events. Investigators are now tracing the escape route through lanes and exit points in the nearby Charkop locality.
The attack took place around 2 pm on Wednesday, November 18, near Father Susai School. The 42-year-old D’Lima was walking from a friend’s shop toward his car when three armed men arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire. The shooter wore a motorcycle helmet to conceal his identity.
D’Lima, who sustained serious gunshot injuries, was rushed to Oscar Hospital, where doctors successfully removed both bullets. He remains under medical supervision and is currently receiving treatment.
Mumbai Police continue to search for the remaining suspects involved in the attempted murder.
