Pakistan’s Actions in Kashmir and Balochistan Expose Human Rights Contradictions, Says Baloch Leader Mir Yar Baloch

Digital Desk:Pakistan’s repeated attempts to interfere in India’s internal affairs, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, while accusing India on religious grounds, have come at a growing diplomatic and moral cost, according to prominent Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch. He has accused the Pakistani military of systematically targeting religious sites in Balochistan and committing serious human rights violations, branding Pakistan a “terror state.”

Mir Yar Baloch alleged that the Pakistani Army has destroyed nearly 40 mosques across Balochistan province. He claimed that military operations have included direct bombing of mosques, the burning of copies of the Holy Quran, and the abduction of mosque clerics (imams). These actions, he said, expose a stark contradiction between Pakistan’s external rhetoric and its internal conduct.

Referring specifically to the mosque of the Khan of Kalat, Mir Yar stated that the structure was targeted by Pakistani army tanks and artillery. He added that bullet marks remain visible on the mosque’s walls even today, describing them as enduring evidence of what he called Pakistan’s brutality and “anti-Islamic behaviour.”

‘Balochistan Stands with India’

On the Jammu and Kashmir issue, Mir Yar Baloch said the Balochistan Republic fully supports India’s principled position. He asserted that a state incapable of safeguarding its own minorities and religious institutions has no moral authority to lecture India, Balochistan, or Afghanistan on human rights.

He warned Pakistan against what he termed selective outrage, arguing that domestic repression cannot be masked by accusations against neighbouring countries.

Allegations of Minority Persecution

The Baloch leader further claimed that religious minorities in Pakistan, including Hindus, Sikhs, and Christians, continue to face sustained persecution. According to him, extremist groups are being used to intimidate these communities, allegedly with the backing or acquiescence of state institutions.

Describing Pakistan as a “terror state,” Mir Yar Baloch said its “true face is now being revealed to the world,” and called on the international community to take note of alleged human rights abuses in Balochistan.

Pakistan has not issued an official response to these allegations so far.
