Hyderabad ‘Insta-Hunter’ Racket Busted; Accused Arrested for Targeting Minor Girls via Social Media

A disturbing case has emerged from Hyderabad, where police have uncovered a racket targeting minor girls through social media platforms. The main आरोपी, identified as Arjun, has been arrested, while the investigation is being carried forward by the SHE Teams.

Modus Operandi: Social Media Grooming and Blackmail

According to police sources, the accused used Instagram to befriend minor girls, particularly those from affluent families. Investigators noted that the targets were often students whose parents were frequently away from home or residing abroad.

The accused allegedly established contact online before arranging in-person meetings in upscale areas such as Jubilee Hills and at pubs. Victims were then manipulated into situations where their photographs and videos could be captured and later used for blackmail.

Authorities said the आरोपी extorted large sums of money from the victims by threatening to circulate the compromising material.

Possible Insider Involvement

Police are also examining the potential role of domestic staff in the case. Investigators suspect that sensitive information about the victims’ routines and family circumstances may have been shared with the accused, enabling him to identify and approach vulnerable targets.
